I’ve stated my opinion about the importance of quality home photography before on this site. Bad photographs are certainly one of my pet peeves (past posts). But a Realtor in Connecticut has made bad home photography, and some of the really bad photos posted to the MLSs, a key theme of his website. Agents from all over the country send him the really bad stuff that they come across on their MLSs. He has just released his worst photos of 2007 list which is a must read if you enjoy a laugh. These were photos actually posted to MLSs with the intent to help sell a home. The captions that he adds are simply hilarious. Check it out.

Wow. The Fair Housing act is only five years my junior and celebrating its 40th anniversary! And with that in mind, HUD is commemorating the Act’s 40 years by naming April Fair Housing Month (not that any other month should be unfair). But did you know that over 10,000 discrimination complaints were filed in 2007? According to an article on the HUD website, most of the complaints were from persons with disabilities (43%). But, wouldn’t you know it, raced based complaints ranked second on the list (37%).
So what is the Fair Housing Act?
The Fair Housing Act basically protects certain classes of people with respect to purchasing or leasing housing. The Act makes discrimination illegal, in certain cases, based on any of the following:

Old Seminole Heights Heights is one of Tampa’s earliest neighborhoods. Developed in the early part of last century, Old Seminole Heights is bounded geographically by The Hillsborough River to the north and west, Hillsborough Avenue to the south, and 22nd street to the east. It also contaisn the area bounded by Hillsborough Avenue to the north, Florida Avenue to the west, I-275 to the east, and MLK Blvd to the south.
