The FHA is being proactive and sending letters to those homeowners facing a reset on an adjustable rate mortgage. Some borrowers may qualify to refinance with an FHA insured loan through the FHASecure program.
FHA Secure lets borrowers who have a non-FHA insured ARM, whether current or delinquent on payments, refinance into a FHA insured mortgage. Homeowners who are delinquent on payments must be delinquent due to the reset of the ARM, or the recasting of an Option ARM.

Received a compliment from another agent today although he wasn’t really offering a compliment. I was asking him if he could get his clients to initial a change they had made on the contract regarding an important date. He then proceeded to tell me that he’s never dealt with another agent who is such a stickler, and that I was frustrating him by insisting that we have a clean contract.
And there lies the problem with many in my business (or any business really). Lack of professionalism. Lack of understanding that we are parties to a legally binding contract involving large sums of money. Other peoples money. Lack of understanding that any term altered on a contract needs to also have some indication that all parties have agreed upon that altered term or a term of the contract it is not (I’m not a lawyer).
So I’ll take it as a compliment to know I’m the biggest stickler he has come across. And it’s been my experience with other very good agents that this stickleritis is a shared quality. I’ll keep insisting on clean contracts.

I probably pay too much attention to economic forecasts, but when a pig is mentioned as having a take on America’s economic future, I listen even more intently. It seems that the Darke County (Ohio) Realtors Association is sponsoring an event in which a hog named Darke County Dave will choose between a trough of sawdust or a trough of sugar. Can you guess which one means better times ahead?
Who cares what Phil thinks about winter? It’s 72 degrees and sunny in Tampa, Florida!
