Tampa Residential Real Estate For Sale Inventory Grows

In the City of Tampa today there are 5826 residential properties for sale and another 2455 under contract waiting to close. This compares to 5194 active properties and 2521 under contract back on April 21st of this year. Buyers have even more to choose from compared to just a month ago, but we’ve seen a decrease in homes going under contract. Great news for buyers, not so good for sellers.
So if you are thinking of selling, you need to be keenly aware of your competition and make sure that your home offers the best value for the few buyers that may be in the market looking for a home such as yours. Some tips:
- Make sure that your home is marketed to the largest number of prospective buyers possible.
- Take care of any major repairs before putting your home on the market.
- New paint can do wonders.
- Make sure your home is realistically priced.
- If you choose to list your home on the MLS, make sure you and/or your listing agent is offering a competitive compensation to buyers’ agents.
