Browse Tampa Historic Homes For Sale
Tampa’s history is such that most of our “historic homes” were built in the early part of last century. There not many Tampa homes still around that were built previous to 1900. In fact, as I type, there are only 4 current listings for Tampa homes built 1900 or earlier, including a beauty built in 1880 on Newport Avenue in the Morrison Grove subdivision of Hyde Park, one of Tampa’s historic districts.
And speaking of historic districts, Tampa has 4 local and 2 national historic districts of note:
Tampa Local Historic Districts
- Hyde Park
- Seminole Heights
- Tampa Heights
- Ybor City
Tampa National Historic Districts
- Hampton Terrace
- West Tampa
Armed with this information, one can assume that most of Tampa’s historical homes of interest are located in these neighborhoods. But be sure to check out Bayshore Beautiful, Palma Ceia and New Suburb Beautiful as well.
