Amazing what e-mailing, texting and social media sites can do in time of need. Bel Mar Shores is a small south Tampa neighborhood on the western shore of the Interbay peninsula. Some clients (and friends) of ours who recently moved into the neighborhood texted me early Wednesday morning saying that their dog had dug under the fence and escaped. I quickly sent e-mails to neighbors and to our neighborhood association leaders who then passed the message on and even posted the story on Facebook.
Those combined efforts paid off when Merlot was found late Wednesday by a neighbor. Seems Merlot, a Vizsla mix, had wondered into the canal on Spring Lake Drive. Merlot is back safe and sound with her owners, just like in a certain wireless provider’s commercial.
